Quote of the Day

“Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.” Napoleon Bonaparte.

This quote must be apt for those New Yorkers less than enthralled by constant errors made by the current property holders of the Plaza Hotel.

The Plaza used to make between $15-25 million a year. El-Ad sold off two-thirds of the rooms to condo owners. They took that money plus another substantial amount and bought land in Las Vegas to develop the Plaza Casino. Real estate prices collapsed before they could recoup their investment and now they own a large plot of sand.

Fuck-ups, because their cash cow, the Plaza, is slipping out of their grasp.

No more Palm Court. No more Oak Room. The Oak Bar will close soon. The New York Post dogging the Plaza at every chance. The price of the condos is dropping from $3000/sq.ft. faster than GM stock.

Someone is waiting for the right moment to offer the right price for El-Ad to fuck off out of town.

And it couldn't happen to nicer people.

Va fungoo, motherfuckers.
