Kent State 1970

John Filo's iconic Pulitzer Prize-winning photograph of Mary Ann Vecchio, a fourteen-year-old runaway, kneeling over the body of Jeffrey Miller after he was shot dead by the Ohio National Guard on May 4, 1970.

That was forty-two years ago.

I was 17.

The demonstrators at Kent State were protesting Cambodia invasion.

The National Guard shot 4 dead in Ohio.

We hit the streets in the hundreds, then in the thousands, and finally in the millions.

Fuck Henry Kissinger.
