Blow The Door Down

Sweden has been seeking the extradition of Julian Assange to face rape charges. The Wikileaks' founder had been arrested in London in 2010 and released on bail. His appeal was rejected May 30, 2012 and Assange has sought refuge in Ecuador embassy. That country's president has offered the Australian political asylum, however the British government has announced that they are prepared to storm the diplomatic mission, unless Assange is turned over to the UK police. The threat came in a letter from the UK's Quito mission, which stated the following; "You need to be aware that there is a legal base in the UK, the Diplomatic and Consular Premises Act 1987, that would allow us to take actions in order to arrest Mr Assange in the current premises of the embassy." Britain, the USA, and Sweden are angered by Ecuador's meddling in their affair, but they suspect that all three nations are pushing hard on extradition so that Assange can be renditioned to the USA, where the Justice Department will try him for espionage and high treason, the latter of which is punishable by the death penalty. Britain failed to extradite Chilean dictator to Spain, because the crime of torture was not in the legal book of England in the 70s or else the Thatcher government could have been charged for crimes against humanity for their treatment of IRA prisoners. Ecuador is standing firm on its right to protect human rights. Bravo Ecuador. Timeline of rape charges from The Telegraph 2010 August 11 - Assange arrives in Stockholm for a speaking trip where it was arranged for him to stay at the apartment of ''Miss A''. August 14 - Assange and ''Miss A'' attend a seminar by the Social Democrats' Brotherhood Movement, at which the Australian is the key speaker. The two reportedly have sex that night. August 17 - Assange reportedly has sex with ''Miss W'', a woman he met at the seminar on August 14. Between August 17 and 20 - The two women are said to have shared concerns over their sexual encounters with Assange.
