Five years have passed since GW Bush ordered the US military to invade Iraq with its Coalition of the Willing. The war was won in a matter of weeks. It's been the peace that has been so elusive and yesterday 4 US soldiers were killed in an unexpected flare of violence, pushing the fatal body count over 4000.
The president hasn't available for comment over the Easter weekend and the military left a Navy lieutenant to comment on the tragic milestone and offer the families of the fallen the nation's condolences.
"There have been some significant gains. However, this enemy is resilient and will not give up, nor will we. There's still a lot of work to be done."
How much?
Does anyone have an idea?
Certainly not Crosby Stills Nash and Young singing "4 dead in Ohio."
