Coney Island's Astroland closed this week for good. Its owners are planning to develop the property into something really useful like oceanfront condos. The NYC amusement park opened in 1962 as a 'space age' park. Its rides were relics well-loved by its visitors.
Astroland RIP along with Palisades Park and Adventureland.
