Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi has canceled her food deliveries to chez elle for 3 weeks weeks, as she fasts to protest of her ever-lengthening home arrest. The authorities are only able to incarcerate someone for 5 years by law. Thin already Suu Kyi has struck at the Burmese junta with the last weapon left in her arsenal.

The Nobel prize winner has not been seen by outsiders since she refused a visit from special UN envoy Ibrahim Gambari, since he has done nothing to help the Burmese people other than smile before the camera, then again his selection was a surprise due to his being African, showing the world body has no idea about how race plays into Asian politics, then again no one really wants SLORC to fall.
Especially not the Thais or Chinese and Indians.
Better a weak neighbor than another rival in the area.
