Personhood

Mississippi leads America is the worst state for obesity, health, family income, lowest percentage of grammar and high school graduates, public transportation, and seat belt use. 53% of those polled by Gallup considered themselves conservative tying the Mormon Kingdom of Utah as the most reactionary state in the Union. The U of Mississippi football reflected the various standings by its sub-100 ranking with a 2-7 record. Undaunted by their lastitis Mississippi lawmakers proposed a law defining a fertilized female egg as a human being. The Right-To-Lifers collected the necessary amount of signatures to bring the decision to a special ballot. A poll suggested that over 45% of voters favored the law, which would have effectively banned abortion. Politicians from both parties backed the amendment to state constitution. The nation waited for the result. A victory would encourage Lifers to expand the law to Ohio, Florida, and South Dakota in 2012. The vote required a simple yes or no vote. There was no 'none of the above' options. "Should the term 'person' be defined to include every human being from the moment of fertilization, cloning, or the functional equivalent thereof?" Mississippi shocked the media, state, and nation by rejecting the proposal as Colorado has done on two occasions. Many Pro-Choice advocates have praised Mississippi, but in truth most of them probably could make out what they were supposed to vote in the ballot booth. Thereof must of thrown them off their tracks. It's a tough word to figure. For me and Mississippi. There are some laws in Mississippi that have no 'thereof'. -You may not seduce a woman by the claim that you will marry her. -You can be fined up to 100$ for saying damn it in a public place. -If you make loud farting noises in church you may be removed and arrested by any person. -Adultery or Fornication results in a fine of $500 and/or 6 months in prison. -Horses are not to be housed within 50 feet of any road. -Being vagrant is punishable by either 30 days in prison or a $250 fine. -Unnatural intercourse, if both parties voluntarily participate, results in a maximum sentence of 10 years and $10,000. -It is illegal for a male to be sexually aroused in public. Ah, Mississippi. It just keep rolling along.
