The Economics Of Alligator

Alcatraz prison Lays a little over a mile from land in San Francisco Harbor. The federal government constructed a military prison in 1905. In 1934 Alcatraz was converted to house America's most dangerous criminals; Al Capone, Alex Karpis, and the Birdman, famed for his menagerie of birds. Twenty-three inmates tried to escape. None were successful. Their bodies were never found. Conditions were harsh. Food was good and every Sunday they had movies. It was closed in 1963. Recently 47 mumbled that he was pondering with his busy busy mind under the orange carpet about reopening the island to deal with illegals.

Instead GOP backers and the Florida government created a new detention center in the middle of the Everglades Swamps. A population of 5000 illegal migrants at a cost of $450 million or $90,000 per inmate per year. A good percentage of these prisoners were working men supporting their families and adding to the value of the nation. An easier remedy would've been to put an ankle bracelet on them so the government could track them at a cost of $7 a day or $4000 a year. No American will do their job. Too fat. Too lazy. Too XXXL. Then again while the math seems fucked up to me, math was never a strong suit for 47 and his cronies And the deep fascist state of America.
