Peace on Mother's Day

According to Wikipedia the First Mother's Day was established as a "Mother's Day for Peace". The pacifism campaign was subverted in 1908 by Anna Jarvis celebrating her late mother in West Virginia and commercial interests recognized the money-making capabilities of a holiday promoting the sale of flowers, cards, and candies.

Jarvis fought to honor her mother.

Police arrested her in 1948 for protesting the crass commercialization of Mother's Day.

Personally I believe Jarvis' version of undying love for one's mother.

Love to all mothers.
