7/11 Everywhere

I remember life without 7/11. Most of the last century. 1927. The company was found in Irving Texas as Southland Grocery Store providing the widespread citizens of that slave state with a convenient place to buy milk, eggs, and other sundries. The name changed to 7/11 to promote the 7am-11pm hours. Not the old dice call for a winning toss of '7 come 11'.

In Thailand 7/11s are everywhere, having supplanted the old family stores. The chains sell snacks and sodas as well as mass production staples. My kids love 7.

Out in Montauk the 7/11 on the highway going out of town is hyped as the busiest 7/11 in the USA. It offers the same as any 7/11 in the world only more than most

I went in the other day for a can of ginger ale. Every soda was in a plastic bottle. I bought nothing, although back when I lived in Thailand I bought beer. It remains the healthiest thing in the stores.

7/11.

More omnipresent than God, except for atheists.
