I well remember 9/10/2001.

It rained all day in New York.

The day before I had almost gone swimming with my Brotosh diplomat friend, Alia, at Lake Awosting, except the park ranger blocked the path to the old granite sky lake. No one was allowed in the water after Labor Day to avoid legal problems from drunken locals and tourists.

There was no one swimming at the Coney Island or the Rockaways on 9/10/01.

Rain and a lot of it.

I recall turning on the TV and seeing the weather report for the next day.

Sunny cloudless skies and that sounded lovely to me.

ps it's cloudy this 9/10/2025 there is no mention of any swimming incidents at lake Awosting.

September 10, 2001

September 10, 2001 was a stormy day. My Thai dok-toi called for money. I had none. That night Michael Jackson performs his second 30th anniversary concert in New York. I went to sleep sober.
