Unfaithful World Wide

This week the infidelity website Illicit Encounters claimed that Friday 18 November as the day of 2016 your partner is most likely to cheat on you and DUREX, the leading producer of condoms, claimed that Thailand was the most adulterous country in the world.

The USA wasn't even close in the report, although Infidelity Facts differs with those numbers;

Infidelity Statistics

Percentage of marriages that end in divorce in America: 53%

Percentage of "arranged marriages" (where parents pick their sons or daughters spouses) that end in divorce: 3%

Percentage of marriages where one or both spouses admit to infidelity, either physical or emotional: 41%

Percentage of men who admit to committing infidelity in any relationship they've had: 57%

Percentage of women who admit to committing infidelity in any relationship they've had: 54%

Percentage of men and women who admit to having an affair with a co-worker: 36%

Percentage of men and women who admit to infidelity on business trips: 36%

Percentage of men and women who admit to infidelity (emotional or physical) with a brother-in-law or sister-in-law: 17%

Average length of an affair: 2 years

Percentage of marriages that last after an affair has been admitted to or discovered: 31%

Percentage of men who say they would have an affair if they knew they would never get caught: 74%

Percentage of women who say they would have an affair if they knew they would never get caught: 68%

I wouldn't cheat with anyone in the USA.

I am faithful to my wife.

Not because I'm lazy either.

10 Cent Beer Night

Nothing says fun like 10 Cent Beer Night at Cleveland Stadium.

35 years ago the Indians were drawing 8000 a game. The executives came up with the promo of 10 cent Strohs Beer. June 4, 1974 as much beer as you can drink. The late MEET THE PRESS commentator Tim Russert attended the game and related his experience, saying, "I went with $2 in my pocket. You do the math."

With the Rangers in the lead 5-1, the drunken crowd of 25000 switched their attention to misbehavior. A woman ran onto the field to expose her teats. A naked man streaked the bases after a Texas home run. Father and son mooned the fans from the bleachers, then things got uglier after Ranger pitcher Ferguson Jerkins was hit by a line drive.

"Hit 'em again! Hit 'em again! Harder! Harder!"

It went downhill from there, even though the Indians rallied to tie the game.

Players and umpires were lucky to escape the rioting mob.

League president Lee McPhail offered the following opinion about the evening.

"There was no question that beer played a part in the riot."

No shit Sherlock.

Happy 10 Cent Beermas to all.

Lets Play Two

The Yankee destiny was built on a single trade, when the owner of the Red Sox sold Babe Ruth to finance a Broadway production of NO NO NANETTE. $200,000 for a flop and the curse lasted 68 years.

While the Sultan of Swat might have been the most memorable hitter of the Damn Yankees, over the years their roster has starred Hall of Famers like Lou Gehrig, Yogi Berra, Joe Dimaggio, Lefty Gomez, Mickey Mantle, Phil Rizzuto, and Dave Winfield.

Mario Riviera and Deter Jeter will most certainly enter the Hall of Fame on the first ballot, yet my favorite Yankee will always be Fritz Peterson. The southpaw holds the club record for lowest ERA at the House that Ruth Built at 2.52. He was the last pitcher to throw the ball at Yankee Stadium before its renovation in 1973. These feats were accomplished on the playing field, however his true claim to fame laid with his inter-team swap of wives with his teammate Mike Kekich, which culminated with the exchange of wives, children, and even dogs.

"We may have to call off Family Day."

Yankee officials were shocked by this bold sexual freedom and traded the pitcher to the Cleveland Indians in 1974. He ended his career with the Texas Rangers. 8-14 for 1976. He still lives with his teammate's wife.

Maybe Family Day will be called Fritz Peterson Day in the future.

For anyone, but the Damn Yankees.

Trump's Key Plan To Greatness

This week Trump's transition team have been discussing the major points of his campaign platform. According to an undisclosed source within the president-elect's the presumed Secretary of the Interior Sarah Palin suggested that building a wall along the Mexican border was an easy promise to achieve as long as the funds came from the Mexicans and stated how successful the Israeli Wall had been in keeping out the Arab terrorists from Jerusalem.

The transition team agreed with her and Trump supposedly was very pleased by the prospect of keeping his word, however allegedly Rudy Guiliani, the future AG, raised an issue about the deportation of two million illegals, saying that the cost would be prohibitive and even more difficult would be organizing a large force to implement the forced exile. Purportedly Guiliani said they couldn't expect Americans to accomplish the task, but Trump had a solution.

"We will employ the Mexican gangs to perform this task. They're businessmen. I know how to deal with businessmen."

The discussion lasted only a few minutes according the the undisclosed source.

"Trump closed the subject by stating something like 'let the Mexicans take care of the Mexicans.'

Next on the agenda was health care.

The source was not privy to that discussion.

Donald Trump To Declare A Tax Jubilee

Throughout the 2016 presidential campaign rumors of a tax jubilee leaked from Donald J Trump camp and one confidential informer said that the billionaire was planning to extend the tax holiday of the rich to every native born American. This insider had allegedly overheard Trump state to his entourage, "If I don't pay taxes, why should other true Americans."

When Julius Caesar returned from Gaul, the conqueror, paid off everyone's debt, thus freeing the hoi polloi from the rapacious practices of the banks, which is why the Senators assassinated Caesar on the Ides of March.

If Trump pursues this liberation from the burden of supporting a bloated Federal Government, then his followers will be the firs to reap the reward of his unexpected largesse, which will supposedly be paid by seven shelter cities.

New York will continue to pay, but get nothing in return, until the city joins Trump's eviction of illegal migrants.

Americans will also not have to pay for their transport, since these 'criminals' will have to walk back to Mexico, the Middle East, and Asia, providing a boon for shoe repair shops along the way to the border.

Salve Trump.

Thomas Cole's Porch

Thomas Cole painted scores of landscapes during mid-1800s.

Some of them are the view from his studio in the town of Catskill.

I've stood on the porch of his house at Cedar Farm.

The vista remains the same.

Splendid any time of the year.
