Oct. 7 2024 - A Year Later

1900

Palestine was a province of the Ottoman Empire. The Arab armies liberated the Middle East with the British Army, but the provinces were divided by two English Arab experts. Straight lines drawn in the deserts. Peace ruled the lands, but the West had plans for the Levant. Acrcording to a 1914-1915 census 1914 the population of Palestine was 602,377 Muslims, 38,754 Jews and 81,012 Christian.

1937 Nakba when the British defeated the Palestinians and then armed the Zionists to create a homeland for the Jewish people after the Holocaust. The partition wasn't in Germany, but the biblical kingdom of Judah which hadn't rxisted for almost two thousand years.

Death camp survivors and Jews of the Diaspora emigrated to Palestine with the hopes of a place of refuge. None wanted to remain in countries, which had executed the Final Solution such as Germany, Poland, and Austria. This safety came at the cost of the Palestinians; Muslims, Christians, Druze, Samaritans, and others, when the UN voted a partition granthing one-third of the population two-thirds of the land without a plebicite of the land's inhabitants.

Palestine shrunk with the loss of wars. 1948. 1956. 1967. 1972 and then the occupation. Israel a theoocracy ruling over an apartheid ghetto. People said those people were always fighting each other just like the Irish fought the rule of the British. We Irish always stand for a Free Palestine.

Throughout the occupation of Palestine the PLO Hamas and Hezbollah has countered US financing, F-16s, and IDF precision bombing and invasions and with armed attacks on Israeli targets, airline hijacking suicide bombing, and intifdas to no avail, then on October 7, 2023. Hamas broke through the border walls to attack the desert communities in the Negev. On that morning the IDF was asleep. Shin Bet supposedly knew nothing about the preparations for the break-out. Hamas fighters swarmed from Gaza. Nearly 1109 Isrealis died in the assault. Hostages taken by Hamas. Israeli accusations of rape and babies burned to death. The only POV that of Israel and world opinion sanctioned the complete destruction of Gaza, especially the US government.

From Al Jazeera Senator Tom Cotton: “Israel doesn’t need patronising lectures about civilian casualties. As far as I’m concerned, Israel can bounce the rubble in Gaza.”

Tens of thousands killed by ensuing revenge bombing and artillery barrages. Hundreds of thousands wounded by the IDF. Millions homeless. Nowhere to run or hide in a repeat of the Warsaw Ghetto extermination by the Nazis.

As for the deaths of non-combatants according to Al-Jazeera Former President Bill Clinton said: “Hamas makes sure that they’re shielded. They’ll force you to kill civilians if you want to defend yourself.” and

For months Netanyahu and the hardliners backed by the DNC and GOP refused to negotiate with Hamas or anyone.

Once more Al-Jazeera cited Former President Joe Biden: “I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed. I’m sure innocents have been killed, and it’s the price of waging a war.”

Israel sought blood and death backed by billions from the West. War consolidates the the Nazionist rule over Palestine and Judah. $95 billion to kill 100,000 or more with the wounded numbering 244,000. Over 10% of Gaza's pre-October 7 population. And there's more to come with no escape from the onslaught for civilians. Not to Azrael. Not to Egypt. NOt even to the sea. The people are trapped in a shattered land along with Hamas and the remaining hostages. No nations wants the Palestinians. None of the Arab countries. They like the Jews throughout the Diaspora and the Irish under the Crown are pariahs. The Nazionists want to marched them en masse into the Negrev Desert this winner. But that will not defeat Hams. Only take away the ocean in which they swim.

But there is one solution other than the Final Solution.

But not with Netanyahu in power, although 47, a Israeli puppet, has proposed a peace truce. Hostage exchanges. Release of prisoners. Armstice. Hamas amnesty with a vow to relinquish control over Gaza. The withdrawl of IDF forces. The return of UN humanitarian services, reconstruction et al. Hamas and no one asks why 10/7.

The date has no significance.

Defeat of Kiev appeared to be inevitable, escept the Ukraine fought back and stopped the Russians dead in their tracks. Putin refused to end the war, but things went from bad to worse. This was the modern world. Drones ruled the skies for both sides. Static strategies lead to horrific losses on both sides. Victory was not in sight. Public opinion weighed heavily against the invaders. Russia was the losing both on the ground and with his people, but the crafty KGB operative had a card to play.

About the security on the Gaza BOrder. Netanyahu had pulled off soliders to deal with the protests against his government's attempting to abolish the Supreme Court. Putin couldn't attack on this info, but let his closest arms supplier, Iran, know that the border was soft. The Islamic council had little use for this, but Putin convinced them to let Hamas know about opening. Iran told thier Hamas allies top brass and they decided to take actio, even knowing that the IDF was bound to exact more than a pound of flesh. Shin Bet saw nothing come, because Netanyahu knew of the planned attack and he realized that he could rally the publich behind a war of revenge. The rest is history.

Before 10/7 the War in Ukraine was the # 1 lead for the media. Now Israel Total War rules the headlines. October 11. Chaos. The Ukraine War invisible to the world.

Putin now attacks Ukraine with impunity, reaping the value of Eternal War.

But one day Peace in the world. Gaza, the Ukraine, and everywhere and I hope it's soon.

A Day Of No Atonement

Yom Kippur has long been the holiest holiday for Jews around the world. The period of fasting lasts twenty-five hours neither eating and drinking, anointing the body with moisturizer or oil, bathing, sexual relations, or wearing leather shoes number the prime rules for atonement for the year's sins, however Israeli will never atone for the theft of Palestine.

During the Great War the French and British sliced up the Ottoman Empire without any interest in creating viable states according to the 1916 Sykes-Picot Agreement. TE Lawrence was outraged by this betrayal of the two nations' allies again the Turks. The Mandate of Palestine was given to the English who stood by when the French ousted the Arabs from Damascus and then began to implement the Balfour Declaration to create a national home for the Jewish people alongside the Palestinian Arabs, who were the vast majority of the Mandate's population. 90%.

Points of View for the Shabbat Goy 11/16/23

Since my return from the Land of the Dead, my friends have been phoning to hear my voice. They all say I sound better than before and this afternoon Big Abe called from $7th Street to say that he had seen an advertisement online for a Shabbat Goy ie that is a gentile to turn on the lights and anything else during the weekly Holy Day. The conversation with Benjo immediately vectored to Israel's response to the October 7 Hamas attack. It had been over a month since Hamas overwhelmed the sleeping IDF in the Negev.

"The IDF is the best army in the Middle East."

"Except that Shin Bet has instructed them to shoot stone throwers instead of fighting 20,000 gunman." The border troops had been stripped by the PM before October 7 and the Hamas fighters armed with ak47s and RPGs had flooded the Negev to wreak bloody havoc.

Back in the late 19th century European Jews sought a homeland to call their own. The obvious choice was Palestine with their historical ties to the Levant dating back the End of the Exodus and an existing community of 10,000 in Jerusalem and three other cities. By 1918 the Jewish population in Palestine had expanded to 70,000 versus 320000 Muslims. Arab ownership amounted to 94% of Land.

The collapse of the Ottoman Empire allowed Britain and France to redraw the Middle East without regard to previous provincial boundaries. Straight lines defined the borders of the new nations. Not so Palestine which the British ruled under a mandate as the French oversaw Syria, whose frontier with Iraq ran as straight as a crow's flight.

Seeking to end the Diaspora Jews from Europe emigrated to their ancient kingdom in hopes of creating a homeland far from the eternal programs and antisemitism of Christians.

Jews migrated everywhere. Mostly to the Americas, but for better or worse many stayed where they were. It was home for a landless tribe.

The Holocaust visited on the Ashkenazi by the Third Reich reinforced that reality that the Jewish people were not safe in foreign countries and in 1948 the United Nations voted to create Israel, giving the Jews 60% of the land.

Over the next seventy-five years Israel practiced apartheid tactics to evict the original inhabitants from their traditional homes citing the millenia old Bible as their lease to a kingdom extinct for nearly two thousand years.

Last week Hamas said enough and struck Israel without warning from their highly vaulted Mossad and multi-million dollar security systems. Hamas launched thousands of missiles at settlements and cities across the Jewish state and over 15,000 fighters easily breached the border wall to spread death to settlers and soldiers across the desert as if this was their Tet Offensive. More like the Mongol Horde. No one was spared. Not soldiers. Not civilians nor men, women or children. The dead number over 1400 with thousands wounded, and hundreds taken hostages. The IDF was nowhere, Shin Bet having trained conscripts to be an army of occupation instead of soldiers.

The assault was finally stemmed three days later. The attackers fought to the last bullet. There were no prisoners. Hamas had nothing to lose.

Stunned Neyhayahu promised retaliation and Israel has ruthlessly adopted the Nazi tactic of leveling the Warsaw Ghetto or the push them into the sea strategy.

The world awaits worse. Young Israeli soldiers are amassing outside of Gaza. War seems to be the only course between two people who no longer believe in peace. The West Bank is also under assault by the IDF. The Two-State Plan is dead. It always has been an illusion.

There is only one sane course.

It is not war.

It is peace.

Peace between two people who don't speak.

Who believe extermination as the only answer, but the next step to peace will be a peace convoy from Jerusalem and Gaza to act as a human shield from Armageddon, but like Hamas the vast majority of Jews see red and I can't blame them, but fighting in Gaza could become Israel's Stalingrad. I hope for peace.

As Winston Churchill said, "It's better to jaw jaw than war war."

B52s Over The Gulf

Something about Iran has pissed off America since the Tehran Embassy takeout of 1979 and Trump's support group of CIA director Pompeo and NSC John 'the Walrus' Bolton have cheerled a confrontation of Persia to prove our resolve to Saudi Arabia's Genocidal War on Justice.

The mainstream media has been dedicated to selling the fear of the Shiite Nuclear threat based on Israeli intelligence.

Sounds like Iraq II all over again.

A Chink In The Wall

The differences between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton were apparent on Thursday’s Democratic primary debate.

Hillary was for a $12 minimum wage, she didn't believe in breaking up the banks, and the former Secretary of State criticized Senator Sanders for promoting Universal Health Care, however between the two candidates the gap increased a chasm when Sanders responded to a question about Israel by saying that Hillary “barely mentioning” the Palestinian people during her AIPAC speech.

“I read Secretary Clinton’s speech before AIPAC. I heard virtually no discussion at all about the needs of the Palestinian people. Of course Israel has a right to defend itself, but long-term, there will never be peace in that region, unless the United States plays an even-handed role, trying to bring people together and recognizing the serious problems that exist among the Palestinian people ... There comes a time when, if we pursue justice and peace, we are going to have to say that Netanyahu is not right all of the time.”

Bernie opted out of the AIPAC meeting and spoke at a Utah high school about Palestinian unemployment and poverty, Israeli settlement construction in the West Bank and the Jewish nation's attempts to derail peace talks with Iran.

American politicians have traditionally never mentioned Palestine.

I applaud Bernie Sanders for his bold step toward justice for the people of Gaza and the West Bank.

Subvertizements of Apartheid

According to electronicintifada.net activists from London Palestine Action plastered these posters criticizing Israel’s apartheid policies against Palestinians all over London’s underground train network early Sunday morning calling them “subvertisements,” political messages designed to look like sanctioned advertising.

Israel has spend billions demonizing the Palestinians as terrorists, a non-race, and animals. The UK has sold the Zionist State billions of arms to oppress Gaza and the West Bank. Several Israeli organization demanded for the posters to be taken down before the Monday rush hour. Transport officials said they got most, but not all, so the message went out to some people.

The UK Zionist Federation on Monday called for authorities to “apprehend the original culprits.” and the Prime Minister called the ads 'inciteful'.

I am sure he meant to say 'insightful' since inciteful is not a word. According to electronicintifada.net former Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni, who in 2009 evaded a UK arrest warrant for war crimes, denied that Israel practices apartheid and said the posters showed that the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement “is against the existence of Israel.”

What they are against is the apartheid treatment of Palestinians; pass cards, arbitrary arrests, infantile incarceration, house bombing, and the theft of land without any recourse to justice.

The other diners laughed at the proposal, but the further extrapolation on this plan formed by my Uncle Carmine in the 90s was for the USA to normalize relations with Cuba, although only on the condition that the name of havana be changed to Miami, so all the Cubans return to their homeland, thereby freeing up even more housing for the migrating Israelis. There will be no peace in our time otherwise, because Israel has refused to address the wrongs of having stolen land from the Palestinians. Freedom of speech is the keystone to any democracy. That in America is at risk and in Israel any and all discussion of this subject is labelled anti-semitic by the press and the speaker besmirched as a Nazi. Today the army barred entry to scores of pro-Palestinian activists from entering Israel as part of the 'Welcome to Palestine' campaign. Two-thirds of the detainees were French. European airlines cancelled hundreds of tickets to Jerusalem at the request of the Israeli security forces No one was allowed to say anything. Everyone was told to shut up.
