Tiger in the Woods

When things go bad they go bad all around. Tiger Woods had a terrible off-season with the press. First his wife attacked him with a golf club after he crashed into a tree fleeing their Florida mansion, then 14 women outed the golfer's sexual misadventures to the tabloids. His infidelity shocked a nation with a 50% failure rate for the first marriage. Reporters focused more on Tiger's personal life than his swing, some even going as far as demanding an apology from the superstar. He gave a rehearsed 'mea culpa' on TV and disappeared from public life hoping to resume his road to glory in the 2010 PGA season.

Unfortunately Tiger Woods latest attempt to regain form and popularity fell short at the Quail Hollow Championship when he shot a 79 by three-putting twice, four-putting once, hitting only two fairways, stringing together three straight bogeys and back-to-back doubles. Result - failure to make the cut.

Nothing the Press like more than seeing the mighty fall to Earth.

They truly are the 19th Hole.
