Marx's vision of Communism - Professor Bertell Ollman 1977
Most recently Trump has upgraded his drug-crazed vitriola against the opposition by calling all democrats 'communists to resurrect America's Red Scare of the 20th Century. No more socialist, but communists threatening wealth cronyism amining to estroy Capital byt etting the economy of money. Pennies were the first to go.
In 1977 Professor Bertell Ollman wrote in Marx's vision of Communism,
Today any form of the concrete world, of human life, any transformation of the technical and natural environment is a possibility, and the locus of this possibility is historical. Today we have the capacity to turn the world into hell, and we are well on the way to doing so. We also have the capacity to turn it into the opposite of hell. This would mean the end of utopia, that is, the refutation of those ideas and theories that use the concept of utopia to denounce certain socio-historical possibilities. It can also be understood as the “end of history” in the very precise sense that the new possibilities for a human society and its environment can no longer be thought of as continuations of the old, nor even as existing in the same historical continuum with them. Rather, they presuppose a break with the historical continuum; they presuppose the qualitative difference between a free society and societies that are still unfree, which, according to Marx, makes all previous history only the prehistory of mankind.
Americans in fact have no idea of communism or the socialist programs of socialism ingrained into the life blood of the nations; highways, the military, medicine, baseball et al. Everyone of us frightened not of the Reds stealing their money, since no one has money. Only plastic cards controlled by the banks. What people fear is losing the chance of getting rich. Who wants to be a billionaire? Everyone does, however only accordding to Forbes Magazine there are 3,428 billionaires worldwide, who control approximately $20.1 trillion in wealth. Actually there is estimated to be $450-600 trillion of wealth controlled by 1% on humanity. Elon Musk became the first trillionaire last month with the IPO of Space X. Another scam.
Me, I am not a communist. More an anarchist. Still as the Clash sing, "I believe in the Communist cause."

Much more to come.
Joe Strummer later said in 1980, “I have to keep pointing out that we're not Communists.”
