Skateboarding in the White House

GW Bush was very straight on protocol in the White House. Everyone had to wear a tie. Humor was used to manipulate the public's perception of the president's likability factor. Clinton's regime was also rigid when it came time to maintain the imperial mantle, although Bill was a little remiss with his hitting on Monica Lewinsky.

Barack Obama is not either of those guys.

First he swats a fly bead during an interview and now he allows Tony Hawk to skateboard through the White House.

This is no longer GW's White House and I love saying to right-wingers.

"Shut the fuck up."

Rock on Obama.

I only wish it had been Jocko Weyland instead of Tony Hawk.

The Answer is Never.

A Man is A Man 2009

The American ideal for a man has been based more on movie characters than reality. Bravery has been defined by cinematic shoot-outs and wisdom quoted from famous films. Politicians have long recognized this weakness in the voters' psyche and their press attaches strive for photo-ops mirroring Hollywood moments.

On May 1, 2003 President GW Bush flew in on a hailed for his MISSION ACCOMPLISHED appearance on the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln. Uniform, jets, a sea of sailors spoke victory to the masses watching the staged scene on TV.

"Major combat operations in Iraq have ended. In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed and the regime is no more". Although Bush added, "Our mission continues" and "We have difficult work to do in Iraq.". The Eternal War on Terror still reigns over the world withthe Pentagon repeatedly failed to admit that the USA has yet again lost another war.

The foolowing President Barack Obama also has a perchance for playing to the camera, although his bow the the Japanese emperor during his tour of the Far East was regarded as a sign of defeat by the talking heads of Fox News.

"General MacArthur must be turning in his grave."

The American Caesar never bowed to any man or god-king.

He had his movie moment before Congress.

"Old soldiers never die, they simply fade away."

MacArthur was pushed out of his position of Far East Caudillo by a KKK president from Missouri for disobeying a direct order. Truman wasn't abut bowing to the military, however Barack Obama's bow to the Japanese emperor was not a sing of submission as much as one of respect. It was only a limo dance in reverse because the emperor is almost a midget.

Respect accomplished.

Next stop.

Washington and Obama has no intention of bowing to the GOP over health care.

At least we hope not.

The Utter Folly Of Wise Men

Every country has a pantheon of vaunted heroes and military leaders. Their names grace universities, libraries, towns, and cities. Children bear their names in remembrance of their contribution to country. In contrast few parents bestow any honor on the knaves of a nation. Adolf and Benito were banned by an unspoken edict during my childhood. Pol Pot is spoken as if he was a ghost to young Cambodian children. They have no other memory of the Khmer Rouge. The Year Zero ended over forty-four years ago. People forget history faster than sports records, but few fools are forgotten as fully as Mad Lopez of Paraguay.

Solano Lopez had been appointed Paraguay's vice-president by his father in 1855 and the Francophile supplied the national army with foreign arms with the express desire of confronting his more powerful neighbors. Egged on by his Parisian courtesan Eliza Lynch, Lopez satisfied his Napoleonic obsession by ordering his forces to aid Uruguay in their war against Brazil over a strip of Argentina separating Paraguay from its troubled ally. Their incursion incited Argentina to join Brazil and its puppet government in Uruguay to embark on the War of the Triple Alliance.

Three against one.

Enough to drive a man mad.

Lopez had his mother flogged for an unspoken offense. Her execution was forestalled by her confession that the leader had been born a bastard. He sought canonization from the Church. The depraved theocracy rejected his claim. He died with the cry "Muero con mi patria!" on his lips.

A madman to the end

Three against one.

Waging two wars at the same time proved disastrous for Hitler and Mad Loepz's idol Napoleon, but in 2011 President Obama went for the Trifecta with the launch of an allied air war against Libya's Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi, one of the 20th and 21st Centuries' most reviled dictator.

Active combat troops roamed Iraq and Afghanistan. Aviator aces attacked key strategy concentrations of power in Tripoli, which is mentioned in the Marine Hymn. Drone warriors cruised the skies over the Khyber Pass. Obama sat in the Oval Office with a IPad 2 on his lap directing firepower like a VDO killer in HOMEFRONT.

Three wars at once.

Barack Obama was a graduate from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. He was the president of the Harvard Law Review. My cousin Ty Spaulding attended the Bishop school with him in Hawaii. He swoare that the president wasn't a foreigner, although the religious right consider anyone of color not of this country.

Just a crazed black man with little discernible method to his madness.

Just the way I like my leaders.

Finally the endless war in Afghanistan is coming to and end.

All our troops will be out by August 31, 2021.

pps the foto is of Lopez's French woman, Eliza Lynch, who buried her husband and fallen son with her bare hands after the Battle of Cerro Cerro. The Irish emigre of the Great Famine was interred at the National Cemetery.

A heroine for a fool.

Obama and Bernie Rule

Barack Obama appeared for a Biden rally and hit 3-pointers.

In 2016 Senator Bernie Sanders dropped mid-range jumpers without missing a shot.

After a hurricane struck Puerto Rico Donald Trump showed his prowess at flinging toilet paper.

Donald is also an expert of sharting in his trousers.

Wanker.

FDT.

DT is so uncool.

Play Ball 2010

The 2010 Baseball Season was opened by President Obama in Washington. He walked onto the field with a red Senators jacket symbolizing his honorary support of the home team. Half way to the mound the President pulled out a black Sox cap which he proudly wore through the ceremony. The crowd booed the show of his real loyalty to the Chicago White Sox. The right-wing press reported the AP release as if his entrance was greeted by politically-motivated bias against the black-skinned Commander-in-Chief. Maybe a few and their mouthiness was stilled by the fact that most of the players on the field were black and a good number had bats. Obama's pitch was wide, high and left. He descended from the mound with hat in hand and I understood his temerity.

On Sunday my young nephew Fast Eddie and I strolled down to Fulton Mall to search out black-exploitation films. His choice. Not mine. All I know is Melvin Van Pebbles, SHAFT, and BLACKULA. Eddie was much better versed in the 1970s genre.

"Gordon Parks directed SUPERFLY too." Eddie was English/French and 18. His face was younger than his age. He hated the Taliban edicts against young drinkers. "I work as a barman in London."

"Here was you're an illegal." I gave him beer at home. His mother approved of this liberty, although the New York police would have considered my largess a crime. Misdemeanor not a felony. My first bar was Kelly's on Mass Ave. in Boston. It was a black bar. I was 14. The barman only cared if I had the money for a bottle of beer.
Eddie had been refused service and entrance at my local, Franks. He couldn't even drink water in the bar, but Homer from Mississippi gave directions to a Muslim street vendor who sold blaxploitation films.

"I don't see the hot dog stand." Eddie had listened to the directions, while I watched the end of the NCAA semi-finals.

"I don't see." I had bet $20 on Butler with the guard at the diamond exchange. It was a sweet win. Eddie's mother wasn't too happy about our wandering the streets and I went over to a Black Liberation book dealer. He had thousands of CDs at home. Eddie and I planned on meeting him tomorrow. Behind us was a sports store.

"I want to get a Red Sox cap." I was wearing a Red Sox Nation tee-shirt. The cap at home was a cheap purchase from Boston's Chinatown. My cousin Dwight had promised to deliver a better one. That was over a month ago.

"Are you sure?" Eddie was a Londoner, but was well aware of the enmity between the two baseball clubs.

"I've been a Red Sox fan all my life. I've lived in New York most of it. My son's name is Fenway." At one year old Fenway doesn't understand the significance of his name and seeing that his mom and he live in Thailand, he might never learn, but he's a smart boy.

"Up to you." Eddie had learned that expression from a two-week holiday in Thailand as a 13 year-old. He could even say 'Lawh ke kunh'. Probably better than me.

"Red Sox forever." I entered Modell's and immediately saw that the store offered a hundred versions of the famed Yankee cap but only one Red Sox cap.

"Can I help you?" The two sales clerks were young.

"You have any other Red Sox caps?" My eyes scanned the racks without success.

"Only that ugly one there." The young man laughed as if the manager of the store had personally ordered the worst Red Sox cap possible.

"It is ugly." And I was buying it either. I wanted something classic. A simple red B on a midnight blue cap.

"Just like the Red Sox."

"We'll see, sport." Opening Day was also a night game in Fenway. Yankees versus the Bosox. "It's the start of a new season and we got better pitching."

"And we have Derek Jeter." Last year's MVP.

"But not Johnny Damon." The Yanks had traded away the World Series MVP to Detroit. Their management kept no players too long.

"And you still have Big Pappie."

"Yeah, thanks." David Ortiz had a terrible year at the plate as DH. Stopping steroids hadn't helped his swing. I exited from the store without a cap. Eddie said, "They really didn't like you."

"Not me. Red Sox fans." It was war every year. "And I hate the Yankees."

Hopefully one day Fenway would know that. Until then I was glad that the Bosox came back from behind that evening to win 9-7 in the season opener. It was a good sign.

No D Obama

The white media in America has suggested that the GOP landslide was a repudiation of the President. ISIS, Ebola, teenage immigrants, gay marriage, and global warming taxed the brains of overworked and underpaid white males who only have time to watch Fox News before they crash into their beds in a Bud Lite beer haze. They were scared.

Something out there wanted to get them.

Home?

Not much safer.

Their kids belonged to an alien culture.

They never call home.

Better the NSA listening to them.

White men only understand football.

Barack Obama played basketball.

The key to good hoops is defense.

Never let the offense into the paint.

Obama had no D in this election.

His party stood away from him.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz sucked as DNC chairman.

The Florida Congressman might have earned an extension had the gubernatorial effort provided a new state governor from the Sunshine State.

My good friend, AK, a straight-up socialist, had worked for Crist in his attempt to unseat the incumbent.

60,000 votes.

Democratic voters i.e. blacks and latinos and everyone else stayed home.

In 2008 we felt him.

2012.

The same.

This year he was a zombie on defense.

Barry had lived around the world.

He can't be that soft on D, then again Obama has never been the same since aide-de-camp Reggie Camp resigned from the team in 2011.

Surrounded by mega-banking flacks, Ivy League insiders, and Pentagon babykillers Barack Obama must finally realize that Michelle had been right.

Change can only be achieved through change.

A pity.

No D.

Drone Clone

9/11 gave the USA the moral right to wage a never-ending war of terrorism around the globe. The Pentagon has fought wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The CIA has abducted potential threats and renditioned them to torture palaces in Poland, Syria, Thailand, and Egypt with the aid of our allies. President Barack Obama came to power vowing to change the GW Bush legacy, however over a hundred prisoners are on a hunger strike in Gitmo Bay, the NSA spies on the public, and drone missiles kill civilians in Pakistan and Yemen. This week the president defended the continued use of drone missiles at the National Defense University in Washington DC. "So this is a just war - a war waged proportionally, in last resort, and in self-defence." Sorry, I don't believe you. Torture is torture and murder is murder. We are a target for 'terrorists', because we back Israel, Arab dictatorships, and repressive governments to preserve our power, so SUVs get cheap gas. Barack Obama never mentioned the words Israel or Palestine, instead he offered a hypocritical apology. "And yet as our fight enters a new phase, America's legitimate claim of self-defence cannot be the end of the discussion. To say a military tactic is legal, or even effective, is not to say it is wise or moral in every instance." This fight is not our fight. It is Israel's and if you want to avoid terrorism. Avoid Israel. Sorry, but I call them as I see them. Barack is GW Bush. ps fuck shin bet

Air Command Mentality

President Obama supported the drone war in his State of the Union Speech. A vast majority of American public back the continuation of GW Bush's air attacks against reputed Islamic militants in Yemen, Afghanistan, and Pakistan to prevent another 9/11, despite the collateral civilian killings and the fact that the White House has condoned the assassination of US citizens in foreign countries. Of course drones are much more accurate than a B52 bombing strike, which is an improvement of the Cold War warrior General Curtis LeMay's attempts to bomb Vietnam into the Stone Age. Still the drone attacks echo the same thinking of the following quote from "Bombs Away" LeMay; Every soldier thinks something of the moral aspects of what he is doing. But all war is immoral and if you let that bother you, you're not a good soldier.

Ted Nugent Shows Class

Last night rocker Ted Nugent attending the State of the Union Speech as a guest of a Congressman Steve Stockman (R-Tex.). Huffington Post reported various Democrats' consternation about CAT SCRATCH FEVER's author appearing at the talkathon due to his vitriolic outbursts against the President, but last night the Amboy Dukes' guitarist showed his class. He said nothing during the speech. And afterwards he said his piece. It still is a free country for those that belive in freedom. And that's freedom for all. Even Ted Nugent.

Hail To The Chief

My Man. President again. Yesterday I tried to name all the presidents. I got George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Martin Van Buren, Willima Harrison, Andrew Jackson, John Tyler, Zachery Taylor, Millard Fillmore, James Buchanon, Abraham Lincoln, Andrew Johnson, Ulysess S Grant, Rutherford Hayes, William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge, Herbert Hoover, Franklin D. Roosevelt, Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, George H Bush, Bill Clinton, George W Bush, and Barack Obama. That was only 38. I was missing a few. Like James K. Polk, Franklin Pierce, James A. Garfield, Chester A. Arthur, and Grover Cleveland. Maybe some other too.

Fox News Shutdown

Today the Borowitz Report announced that Fox News Channel would shut down for what it called “routine maintenance” Monday morning at 11:30 E.T. Fox News president Roger Ailes explained the timing of the shutdown, which will be the first in the history of the network: “We wanted to pick a time when we were positive nothing would be happening that our viewers would want to see.” Mr. Ailes said that Fox had considered shutting down only once before, exactly four years earlier on January 20, 2009, and later regretted the decision to continue broadcasting that day: “It turned out that no Fox viewers wanted to watch TV that day. And I mean none.” According to Mr. Ailes, for the twelve hours Fox News is off the air on Monday the network will broadcast a continuous photomontage of white people. “Regular viewers of Fox probably won’t notice anything unusual,” he said. After the routine maintenance is completed, Mr. Ailes said, Fox News will return to the air Tuesday morning with its regular broadcast schedule: “For Fox viewers, it will be like Monday never happened.” It was a joke. If only the closing of Fox News was a truth.

Honkie Beware

Vice President Joe Biden left the stage at the Charlotte Convention to the music of Earth Wind and Fire, but Barack Obama approached the podium to U2's City of Blinding Lights and basked in the adorative applause of his audience to Bruce Springstein's WE TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN. GOP and Tea Party members must have been disappointed that the DJ hadn't played BIG BAD LEROY BROWN, but they forget that the POTUS is half-white, which under their proposed not one drop of black blood platform would put him back on the plantation of prisons. Personally I like the Chambers Brothers's TIME HAS COME TODAY To view the long version, please go to this URL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sw7Vw-wSXk

Registered Voter

"Vote early and vote often." This classic call supposedly originated with New York's Tammany Hall paying 'repeaters' $5 to vote multiple times. According to Wikipedia Richard Henry Dana, Jr. to his friend Lord Radstock saying, "The side which has the greater number of dishonest men will poll the most votes. The war cry, "Vote early and vote often!" and the familiar problem, "how to cast the greatest number of votes with the smallest number of voters", indicate the direction in which the dangers lie." Years ago I was registered in Boston and twice in New York. I only voted under one name, but thought about voting three times to add extra weight against the GOP. Thought is a sin in the eyes of the Catholic Church. Only a deed is considered a crime by the law. Yesterday I went to 345 Adams Street to register to vote in Brooklyn. I have no allegiance to a political party, although I will vote for Barack Obama again. I suggest everyone register too. It's a right the GOP would rather you not exercise. To register in Brooklyn go to the Board of Elections; 345 Adams Street, 4 Fl Brooklyn, NY 11201 Tel: 1.718.797.8800 It take five minutes.

O'Bama The Man

My first presidential vote was for George McGovern in 1972. The Democratic candidate's middle name was Stanley and he proposed to end the War in Vietnam as well as cut Pentagon spending by 37%. Nixon won by a landslide. The South Dakotan's electoral wins were Massachusetts and DC. Afterwards Bay Staters said that our support was due to the fact that with our long history of corrupt politicians we recognized Nixon for a crook and two years later he was ousted from the White House for Watergate. I have never voted for a GOP candidate. I probably never will vote for one. I'm solidly backing Barack O'Bama. He's Irish and we always vote our own.

Make My Way

Earlier this month Clint Eastwood announced his support for Mitt Romney and the Hollywood icon appeared on stage of the Tampa Convention Center with a chair. The actor/director/producer pretended to speak with an invisible Barack Obama, accusing him of creating 23 million unemployed, even though the US Department of Labor puts the number at 13 million, which is way too many, especially when many of those are underpaid by WalMart and the Pentagon. Clint went on to harangue the chair about Gitmo. "Well, I know even people in your own party were very disappointed when you didn’t close Gitmo. And I thought, well closing Gitmo -- why close that, we spent so much money on it. But, I thought maybe as an excuse -- what do you mean shut up?" And then he brought up the tears shed on the night of Obama's election. "I remember three and a half years ago, when Mr. Obama won the election. And though I was not a big supporter, I was watching that night when he was having that thing and they were talking about hope and change and they were talking about, yes we can, and it was dark outdoors, and it was nice, and people were lighting candles. They were saying, I just thought, this was great. Everybody is trying, Oprah was crying." Liberal pundits likened the hemhawing monologue to that of a rant by Homer Simpson's father, but the star of EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE pleased the audience with his humor and heartfelt anger with our president. And for one time in the GOP convention someone said bring back the troops from Afghanistan. "I know you were against the war in Iraq, and that’s okay. But you thought the war in Afghanistan was OK. You know, I mean -- you thought that was something worth doing. We didn’t check with the Russians to see how did it -- they did there for 10 years. I think Mr. Romney asked the only sensible question, you know, he says, “Why are you giving the date out now? Why don’t you just bring them home tomorrow morning?” I agree that the troops should come home tomorrow, but it's harder to stop the Pentagon from wagign a war than drag me out of a party when there's still booze to be drunk. Clint, you're still the man on screen, but anyone who says he's a pal of Jon Voight aint' playing with the full deck of marbles. To view Clint's speech, please go to the following URL and decide for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoqKdWY692k

Short Memories

A few weeks ago Barack Obama was excoriated by the right wing press and Polish government for having called the Nazi extermination camps located in Poland 'Polish death camps'. The president apologized for this gaffe, but few journalists recalled that back in 2008 the Polish foreign minister made the following joke. “Have you heard that Obama may have a Polish connection? His grandfather ate a Polish missionary.” The Polish government had not denied the statement, but protested that its intent hadn't been racist. Short memories are a blessing for the media. No one can remember anything, since most of what they report is crap.

Gay-O-Meter

According to Urban Dictionary a gay-o-meter is a word you can use when a straight person starts acting a little too homosexual. Example. Hank: OMG I love your hair! Bill: hey Hank I think u should turn your gayometer down a couple notches. Years ago I took the gay-o-meter test. I scored 33% I'm a little older now and went to the site offering the test. http://www.okcupid.com/tests/the-gay-o-meter-test This time I scored on the Bi/Asexual Chart 13 girl-gayness and 10 guy-gayness. So I'm more lesbian than gay. Oh Joy.
