For a few years.

I'm alone in bed, reading John Toland's 1918 THE LAST YEAR. Alice rose early and went to Club 57. Her true home. I have classic music from a Philadelphia radio station, a bottle of 1972 Bordeaux, and a joint. No naked body. Alice still thinks she's too fat to have sex. I think the opposite, but the mirror tells the truth to everyone with their own reflection.

My evening plans are to go to a party and then hit CBGBs. I avoid Club 57. Susan and my old friends, the boys from East 6th Street; Frank Holiday, Andy Reese, and William Lively make me uncomfortable IN that club. Someone spread a rumor that I had robbed Tim Dunleavey. I suspect Andy Reese and Frank Holiday. They are junkies, plus I prefer CBGBs. The bartenders like me. I flirt with girls. Guadalcanal and I snort coke. Not everyone is so friendly. A drunk from New Jersey wanted to fight me. Guadalcanal grabbed the thug and chucked him out with Merv, the Gentle Giant, at the door.

"That was nothing," says Guadalcanal.

Yeah, that's all everything is."

"I meant that guy."

Alice and her crowd show up. I wave to Lisa Crystal, Holly's daughter, let in my girlfriend and tell the others to pay. They've come to see Pere Ubu, an art band from Cleveland. Sort of a punk Meat Loaf. Alice comes to the bar.

"Can't you get Susan in for free?"

"It's not my bar."

"I'll pay for her."

"Why can't she pay for herself?"

Alice makes a face. I figure the two area couple. We haven't made love this week. Maybe not last week either.

The Club 57 set come in without saying 'hello'.

I leave with Guadalcanal.

"Before I came here, I thought Boston was small, but everyplace is small, if you only go to the same places every night."

"You could always broaden your horizons by joining the real world. Get a 9 to 5. Wear a tie."

"Yeah, I could always do that." I have a fear of ending up like Peter Willen, my Aunt Mary's beau. A socialist with smoke-stained teeth. My mother is scared of that fate for me too.

The GOP scored massive gains in the 1978 mid-term elections. White men hated President Jimmy Carter, They want a strong America to face the USSR.

Prior to the vote the GOP controlled twelve states, now they have eighteen thanks to the media's portrayal of America losing its way; i.e. the grip of white people over the rest of Americans; Black, Spanish, Asian, and under-paid working classes.

Massachusetts was served by Republicans Senator Edward Brooke and Governor Frank Sargent. My father hated Sargent for not financing I-95 across the North Shore wetlands. I like them the way they are.

No one says a word about World War I. It ended sixty years ago.

Iowa Ain’t All That 2024

A high hovering over Greenland blocked the Arctic jet stream and the southern diversion plunged the Center of the USA into severe sub-zero temperatures. The low in Iowa for the 2024 Presidential Caucus was anywhere from -13 to -30 breaking all records. The media have been rattling on about the importance of the GOP vote for months, despite the fact that Iowa Republican electorate has less votes than the bourough of Brooklyn.

The day came and went with the lowest turnout ever in the event's history. 50% or 55,000 votes won the caucus for Trump. Mostly evangelicals who consider the embattled billionaire to be the Orange Messiah. The media declared that result to be a landslide. Iowa has 752,249 registered Republicans, meaning that the winner for the delegates for the 2024 GOP convention garnered 7% of those voters willing to go outside in the freezing cold.

93% of the Iowa voters didn't vote for Trump.

"And that's called victory," commented Ty Spaulding from Hawaii.

A helluvah landslide. Joe Biden didn't even show up in Iowa. He's not even registered for New Hampshire.

ps Bismarck North Dakota has a population of 55,000 and was even colder than Des Moines, the capitol of Iowa, which has a population of 214,000. Trump received 6600 votes there. Landslide is over 70%.

The Reign Of A Nationalist

Last spring my friend was driving me across Dutchess County to catch the train in Dover Plains. The road passed through rural community surrounded by billionaires' estates. We passed through an abandoned village and the last house flew a Rebel flag in the front yard. I told my friend to stop.

"Why?"

"Because I'm going to cut down that traitor flag. My people left Maine to fight against the slavers and I can't believe this bastard KKK piece of shit is flying it in the North."

Every small town has a statue of a Federal soldier facing south. They died in the hundreds of thousands to free the slaves. This flag was an insult to their sacrifice. My family marched through the South too. We burned Dixie to the stumps> we shouldn't have been so lenient, but a long war killed the killing in the blood.

"He probably has a gun," warned my friend.

"I don't give a shit." I had a serious box-cutter in my pocket. It worked for the hijackers of 9/11

"I live up here." My friend stepped on my gas and I made the train at Dover Plains.

Up here was white.

In 1949 concertgoers leaving an open-air show by Paul Robeson, Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie were attacked by an anti-Communist, anti-Semitic and anti-black crowd and local police stood to the side.

The KKK were strong in American politics. Presidents Wilson, Harding, and Truman were members of the racist organization which believed in lynching, killing, and suppressing blacks.

Now we have a president endorsed by the KKK and declared the other day that he is a 'nationalist'.

As a race traitor I can only interpret his statement one way.

#45 is KKK

Like father.

Like son. ps the following photo is a fake.

But if you walk like a duck and talk like a duck then you are a fascist.

We are family.

Small Hands On Canvas - Mr. Donald Trump

Illma Gore's infamous nude of Donald Trump has been on display at the Maddox Gallery in Mayfair and the GOP presidential candidate has threatened to sue the artist for either depicting Donald Trump with very small penis.

Bids have reached 100,000 pounds sterling, although the gallery is seeking a million quid for the small nude.

The real estate billionaire might be better servedby purchasing the painting to get it off the market.

Small hands.

Illma Gore is young.

This self-photo shows her in a bathtub.

I wonder if the names written on her skin are those of her boyfriends.

Only for a few seconds.

And then there's this troubling nude of Hillary Clinton.

I never saw her as a beer-drinker.

But what do I know.

Death Camps For The Old

During the fight to pass President Obama's Affordable Healthcare Bill, the GOP accused the Democrats of having written a clause designed to create death camps for the elderly. This falsitude was promoted by Fox News to the believers in the Right and this week Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin proposed to cut funding for the SeniorCare drug program to save a mere $15 million over the next two years.

Death Camps are back on the list.

It's the way of the GOP.

A Cure For Babylon

The Texas GOP adopted a resolution vowing to cure homosexuality. "Homosexuality must not be presented as an acceptable alternative lifestyle, in public policy, nor should family be redefined to include homosexual couples. We believe there should be no granting of special legal entitlements or creation of special status for homosexual behavior, regardless of state of origin. Additionally, we oppose any criminal or civil penalties against those who oppose homosexuality out of faith, conviction, or belief in traditional values. We recognize the legitimacy and value of counseling which offers reparative therapy and treatment to patients who are seeking escape from the homosexual lifestyle. No laws or executive orders shall be imposed to limit or restrict access to this type of therapy." They are really out of it, if they think there's a cure for nature's sway. Big Boys Don't Cry

The GOP revisionists collapsed in the face of the federal budget default.

Ted Cruz vowed to fight Obamacare to the last breath of his body much as Charlton Heston had sworn to uphold the right to carry a firearm into the grave.

John Boehner survived the crisis to continue as the party whip, even though the extreme right are fomenting a rebellion against his leadership.

They want to undo change.

John doesn't know what he wants to do other than cry cry cry.

I don't blame him.

Government as usual in the USA, bringing new meaning to the 4 Seasons' classic hit BIG GIRLS DON'T CRY.

GOP Shutdown

The GOP's hard-right members have refused to relent on their demand that Obamacare be delayed for one year or else they will not approve a budget to finance the government. House Speaker John A. Boehner has attempted to reason with the Tea Party representative, whose leaders are adamant on their stance against any form of public health care, which they consider a step toward socialism. As reported in the New York Times President Obama said Saturday: “Republicans in the House have been more concerned with appeasing an extreme faction of their party than working to pass a budget that creates new jobs or strengthens the middle class. And in the next couple days, these Republicans will have to decide whether to join the Senate and keep the government open, or create a crisis that will hurt people for the sole purpose of advancing their ideological agenda. The American people have worked too hard to recover from crisis to see extremists in their Congress cause another one.” Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers retorted, “The president is now demanding that we increase the debt limit without engaging in any kind of bipartisan discussions about addressing our spending problem,” she said. “He wants to take the easy way out — exactly the kind of foolishness that got us here in the first place.” The government has been shut down seventeen times and here are those occasions; Shutdown #1: Sept. 30 to Oct. 11, 1976 when Gerald Ford vetoed a funding bill for the Departments of Labor and Health, Education, and Welfare in order to stop spending. Shutdown #2: Sept. 30 to Oct. 13, 1977 was against abortion, although more about funding for Labor and HEW. Shutdown #3: Oct. 31 to Nov. 9, 1977 was another dogfight about abortion. Shutdown #4: Nov. 30 to Dec. 9, 1977 was the GOP refusing to fund Medicaid payment for abortion of rape victims. Obviously there's a trend here. Shutdown #5: Sept. 30 to Oct.18, 1978 Carter regarded funding for a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier as wasteful along with more pork to Congress. Shutdown #6: Sept. 30 to Oct. 12, 1979 Carter fought against a pay raise for Congress, while the GOP wanted to cut funding to abortion. How long did it last? 11 days Shutdown #7: Nov. 20-23, 1981 reagan refused to approve any budget that didn't include his wish for $8.4 Billion. Shutdown #8: Sept. 30 to Oct. 2, 1982 Congress forgot to fund the government. Opps. Shutdown #9: Dec.17-21, 1982 Jobs were cut to finance nuclear missiles. Shutdown #10: Nov. 10-14, 1983 Reagan wanted money for Israel. The Democrats wanted money for schooling. Guess who won? Shutdown #11: Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, 1984 Crime versus college funding. Police won and black students lose under Reagan and every other president. Shutdown #12: Oct. 3-5, 1984 Reagan wanted it his way or no way, especially if the case of money for the anti-Sandinista forces fighting an illegal war in Nicaragua Shutdown #13: Oct. 16-18, 1986 Ronald Reagan and Tip O'Neill of the Democrats faced off over Big Oil versus education. Once more Big Oil won. Shutdown #14: Dec. 18-20, 1987 More money for the Contras who shipped cocaine to America which was then processed into crack. Thank you very much, Mr. Reagan. Shutdown #15: Oct. 5-9, 1990 Daddy Bush wanted to cut the deficit. No one thought about shutdown of the Pentagon. Shutdown #16: Nov. 13-19, 1995 Clinton versus Ginrich. The GOP wanted to cut health benefits to the people in order to give tax cuts to the rich ie the trickle-down effect. Shutdown #17: Clinton v. Gingrich Part II Dec. 5, 1995 to Jan. 6, 1996 The GOP wanted to cut more money from social services. Same as now. Fuck the GOP. They suck. But not the Beach Boys' song SHUTDOWN. Heresy For Egypt

There are not many deep thinkers in America. People beleive what they are told by the media. This week www.americanthinker.com has attempted to excoriate Obama for paying $190 million to Egypt Right-wingers were incensed by our committment to Peace in the Mideast and asked, "How many meat inspectors will be laid off to pay for this? How many air traffic controllers? How many kids will go hungry?" None of them bothered to question the trillions the American taxpayer has laid out to pay for GW Bush's Wars and I responded by writing, "$12B to Afghanistan, $3B to Israel,$2B to Iraq, $1.7 to Pakistan, $1.4B to Egypt, and $154 Million to the National Endowment of the Arts doesn't come close to the billions endowed to the prevent the collapse of a corrupt banking system. Over $30 billion in overdrafts alone. $67 Billion in ATM charges. ps Uncle Sam should pull down his pants when he's taking a dump." One fascist responeded by posting, "Obama has 1 agenda. How to turn America into a Socialist State as fast as possible. Period end of story." I retorted, "Better than a fascist religious state under GW Bush. I like my beer cold and there is no good beer in the buckle of the bible belt Oklahoma" He thought bitching about GW had lost its zing and I said, "Bitchin about GW. It's starting to get old. has not gotten cold anyone in Iraq looking for WMD." Fuck the GOP.

The New GOP

After the GOP's defeat in the presidential and senatorial election Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal criticized his party for promoting a platform based on stupidity and not electability. “It is no secret we had a number of Republicans damage our brand this year with offensive, bizarre comments -- enough of that,” Jindal told Politico. “It’s not going to be the last time anyone says something stupid within our party, but it can’t be tolerated within our party. We’ve also had enough of this dumbed-down conservatism. We need to stop being simplistic, we need to trust the intelligence of the American people and we need to stop insulting the intelligence of the voters.” Recent bills brought up for a vote across the States have suggested that the GOP has declared its recommitment to being the Party of the Dumb According to pathos.com a group of Arizona Republicans have proposed House Bill 2467, which would require public high school students to recite the following oath in order to graduate: I, _______, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge these duties; So help me God. No atheists need apply. Another GOP state legislator demanded that Tennessee cut food assistance to kids with bad grades, while Governor Rick James has vowed to arrest any federal officers attempting to enforce a gun control law. Stupid? You bet they are and they like playing 'dumb' too. If only we could get them to roll over and play dead.

Steve, You Suck

Last autumn I sat in the Fort Greene Observatory and thought that the hurricane season had been very kind to the Eastern Seaboard, then in late-October a Category 1 storm traveled up the Gulf Stream to smote New Jersey with a lunar-intensified tidal surge. The coast was devastated by the water and wind. Governors sought relief from Congress and the GOP responded by delaying any funding as a punishment to the Tristate area supporting the re-election of President Obama. This week Rep. Steven Palazzo of Biloxi, Mississippi district voted against a $9.7 billion relief package to victims of Hurricane Sandy. Palazzo's office did not immediately respond to TPM's requests for comment. Update: A spokeswoman for Palazzo provided TPM with a statement Friday in which she said the congressman hopes the debate over aid to victims of Hurricane Sandy will prompt a "national discussion on disaster relief reform." Read the statement here. I tried to contact his office via email to call him an asshole. http://palazzo.house.gov/ I enter the zip code 39535 for Biloxi. I emailed that he was an asshole. I have yet to receive a response. ps he does have John Edwards hair. Is that a good thing?

Chestnut Mare You GOP Fuckheads

For the past months the media with the help of the GOP fuckheads have been fear-mongering about the US government falling over a fiscal cliff on January 1. 2013. On that date the Bush tax cuts will die and unemployment benefits will cease. President Obama has offered compromise after compromise to the Republican Congressional Representatives without their leaders responding with a counter-offer. Doom is upon us according to CNN, ABC, CBS, and Fox News. Except the vast majority of the American public were thrown over a cliff years ago by the GOP, so I say to both sides of the floor in Congress, "C'mon down. The water is fine." And ten we can sing the Byrds' CHESTNUT MARE together. And we were falling down this crevice, about a mile down I'd say! I look down and I see this red thing below us Comin' up real fast and it's our reflection in a little pool of water About six feet wide, and one foot deep Crawling down right through it We hit and we splashed it dry That's when I lost my hold and she got away But I'm gonna' try to get her again some day. Yeah, ride 'em, cowboy or cowgirl.

Simple Math, You Idiot

Yesterday a radical friend posted a video of the comedienne Sara Silverman lambasting the GOP for radically altering the ID requirements for voting across the country. The courts have been knocking down these laws passed by republican-dominated state legislatures, however over 21,000,000 Americans, mostly the elderly, poor, military, and students don't have state-issued IDs. The response to my friend's posting ranged from outrage to utter dismay, however one person entered this comment; "I didn't read the articles on this or watch much of Sarah's video... but what's the big deal about asking for ID? Who doesn't have a gov't ID these days? Sarah said 21 million people don't have ID... aren't there 225 million in the country? Doesn't seem THAT bad. Doesn't seem like it would do much to affect the outcome of the race if those are the numbers." Those who don't know history are doomed to fuck up more than once and I wrote; "You stupid fuck, there are over 310,000,000 citizens of this country. Some are under 18. the poll officials are asking for driver's licenses and 21 million people don't have them, but do have other forms of ID acceptable to banks et al. wake up. the 2000 election was decided by less than 450,000 voters. Wait a second Al Gore got more votes than GW Bush, so maybe 21 million people denied the right to vote wouldn't effect the result. It's amazing how little people don't know when they choose to be stupid. Barack Obama Jokes

Fat White American Men don't like Barack O'Bama.

He's thin, good-looking, and can shoot a three.

They are scared that white ascendency in the USA is on the wan under his leadership.

The FWAM make jokes about teh president same as I did under the oppresively fucked-up regime of that coke-snorthing draft-dodging GW BUSH

Here's a small sampling;

Q. What Bruce Springsteen song always makes Obama grin?
A. “Born in the U.S.A.”

Q. What's the difference between Obama opponents and Obama supporters?
A. The first group works for a living while the second group votes for a living.

Q. Why does Obama keep jacking up the cost of gasoline?
A. So that voters can't afford to drive to the polls in November.

I say fuck raising the price of gas so the fat white American men can't vote, have the workers at 7/11 roofie their Slurpies on Election Day.

So watch out for those SUVs.

The people in them are fatter than they appear in your rearview mirror.

To see more Obama joke, go to this site

at least they weren't saying 'nigger'

But they wish they could.

2016 OBAMA'S AMERICA

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=09i2YvLPZuE

2016 OBAMA'S AMERICA an anti-Obama documentary based on Dinesh D’Souza’s book “The Roots of Obama’s Rage” hit the theater last weekend and outgrossed EXPENDABLES 2 thanks to a push from an heavily evangelical audience outraged by the loss of God in their America. The Chicago Sun Times called the film 'amateurish' and 'hokey', while the LA Times deemed the movie's examination of Obama's anti-imperialism 'heavy-handed'. AP was less critical of D’Souza's film, claiming the documentary to be the highest-grossing right-wing documentary of all time. I stood in front of an East Village theater showing the movie. I didn't see one person buy a ticket, but that gentrified neighborhood is hardly a bastion of conservative thought.

2016 OBAMA'S AMERICA subscribes to the Dinesh D’Souza's belief that Obama idolized his natural father who was nothing more than a drunk who beat his four wives and who died in poverty as a result of his alcoholism, after which D'Souza furthered his belief that Obama's anti-colonialist views of the British Empire transformed the young boy into a let-wing radical under the aegis of Weatherman Bill Ayers, who Obama met in the 90s. My cousin Ty Spaulding went to school with Barack in Hawaii. The film ends with the apocalyptical line, "The future is in your hands."

I doubt that I will see this movie, since I don't go to the cinema that often, so I can't really say much about 2016 OBAMA'S AMERICA other than the Goan-born GOP flack is preaching to the other choir.

This weekend Bill Maher lambasted Dinesh D’Souza on POLITICALLY INCORRECT.

Roofie The GOP

A lot of my liberal friends are shunning their GOP comptriots in this preseason of the presidential election. FH wrote on facebook the following; i am shocked that some of my friends are for Romney/Ryan .I am a total bad judge of character. If you are suddenly defriended you will know why. Enjoy you fantasy. I suggested to FH, a Bushwick painter, "Tell your friends this. Listen, I'm voting for Obama. You're voting for romney. Our votes cancel out each other, so let's not vote at all and save the gas and time on election day." If they're voting for Williard Romney then one or two of them will be stupid enough to believe you FH's friend wrote later "I have already gotten up from a couple of dinners and conversations never to return - when people mention that they are republicans. That is a filth/dirt/stain you cannot wash off." I'm much more forgiving. "I don't leave the table until I've drunk all the wine and then stiff them with the bill, plus I like calling them names and telling them once we repossess their homes for the revolution that we'll be shipping them to re-education camps. No more potato chips. No more SUVs. All their daughters will be strippers and their sons working as street sweepers along the highways, but even better is to roofie your GOP friends the night before the election or dose them with LSD so they see the light. It's all about hope, isn't it?

Make My Way

Earlier this month Clint Eastwood announced his support for Mitt Romney and the Hollywood icon appeared on stage of the Tampa Convention Center with a chair. The actor/director/producer pretended to speak with an invisible Barack Obama, accusing him of creating 23 million unemployed, even though the US Department of Labor puts the number at 13 million, which is way too many, especially when many of those are underpaid by WalMart and the Pentagon. Clint went on to harangue the chair about Gitmo. "Well, I know even people in your own party were very disappointed when you didn’t close Gitmo. And I thought, well closing Gitmo -- why close that, we spent so much money on it. But, I thought maybe as an excuse -- what do you mean shut up?" And then he brought up the tears shed on the night of Obama's election. "I remember three and a half years ago, when Mr. Obama won the election. And though I was not a big supporter, I was watching that night when he was having that thing and they were talking about hope and change and they were talking about, yes we can, and it was dark outdoors, and it was nice, and people were lighting candles. They were saying, I just thought, this was great. Everybody is trying, Oprah was crying." Liberal pundits likened the hemhawing monologue to that of a rant by Homer Simpson's father, but the star of EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE pleased the audience with his humor and heartfelt anger with our president. And for one time in the GOP convention someone said bring back the troops from Afghanistan. "I know you were against the war in Iraq, and that’s okay. But you thought the war in Afghanistan was OK. You know, I mean -- you thought that was something worth doing. We didn’t check with the Russians to see how did it -- they did there for 10 years. I think Mr. Romney asked the only sensible question, you know, he says, “Why are you giving the date out now? Why don’t you just bring them home tomorrow morning?” I agree that the troops should come home tomorrow, but it's harder to stop the Pentagon from wagign a war than drag me out of a party when there's still booze to be drunk. Clint, you're still the man on screen, but anyone who says he's a pal of Jon Voight aint' playing with the full deck of marbles. To view Clint's speech, please go to the following URL and decide for yourself. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yoqKdWY692k

Bag Of Gas

Two night ago NJ governor Chris Christie to the stage of the GOP convention in Tampa. "Thank you! Thank you all very much. Thank you. Well, this stage and this moment are very improbable for me, a New Jersey Republican." According to Fox News the rotund speaker said the word "I" 37 times, "Romney" seven times, and "jobs" one time in his speech I counted him saying the word 'believe' twenty-four times, saying 'believe me' twice in a row. Manny my old boss from 47th Street said more than once, "Never trust anyone who says believe me. Especially if they say it so fast." Manny trusted no one and he's still at his desk on 47th Street. ps Chritie was speaking to one county in his state. Monmouth county. It's the fattest county in New Jersey led by Donna Simpson, who's trying to become the fattest woman in the world. ps Ms. XXXXXXXL has yet to announce her party allegiance this year.
