Meet your Republican friend at a bar. Slip him a Mickey. Preferably oxycontin. It's Russ Limbaugh's drug of choice. He'll have a good night's sleep. I wrote 'he' because only fat white males are voting for Romney and I'd hate to be accused of attempted date-rape of a fat white female Romneyette. Having accomplished your task, lock your friend in the bar's toilet. Then return to the bar to have a nightcap. Make sure the bartender isn't wearing a Romney button. Tomorrow vote early and vote often and vote Obama.

The Smile Of Lies

Last week's debate between President Barack Obama and the GOP challenger Mitt Romney resulted in a bounce in the polls for the Republican candidate. Across the board pundits and citizens agreed that the incumbent put on a lackluster performance. Obama looked tired and disinterested, as if some pressing affair of state required his attention and not the man seeking to take over the Oval Office. Today's confabulation of Gallup Polls revealed that Americans in the crucial swing states had responded to Romney's strong showing, so that the gap between the two had narrowed to 3%. I have been constantly predicting that the contest is a fait-accompli, but as HL Mencken famously said, "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." He was able to get away with lies about the facts such as; “I’ve been in business for 25 years. I have no idea what you’re talking about. Maybe I need to get a new accountant, but the idea you get a break for shipping jobs overseas, is simply not the case.” That is not the case, but Romney defended himself from Obama's rebuttal by saying that he wasn't aware of those deductions, proving as James Steele once said about GW Bush, "If you don't know something, then it can't be the truth." The light will dawn on dumb and dumber later than sooner in this election, because intelligence is a sign of weakness when confronted by the smiles of a liar. Roofie a GOP voter on the election eve. It's your patriotic duty.

Simple Math, You Idiot

Yesterday a radical friend posted a video of the comedienne Sara Silverman lambasting the GOP for radically altering the ID requirements for voting across the country. The courts have been knocking down these laws passed by republican-dominated state legislatures, however over 21,000,000 Americans, mostly the elderly, poor, military, and students don't have state-issued IDs. The response to my friend's posting ranged from outrage to utter dismay, however one person entered this comment; "I didn't read the articles on this or watch much of Sarah's video... but what's the big deal about asking for ID? Who doesn't have a gov't ID these days? Sarah said 21 million people don't have ID... aren't there 225 million in the country? Doesn't seem THAT bad. Doesn't seem like it would do much to affect the outcome of the race if those are the numbers." Those who don't know history are doomed to fuck up more than once and I wrote; "You stupid fuck, there are over 310,000,000 citizens of this country. Some are under 18. the poll officials are asking for driver's licenses and 21 million people don't have them, but do have other forms of ID acceptable to banks et al. wake up. the 2000 election was decided by less than 450,000 voters. Wait a second Al Gore got more votes than GW Bush, so maybe 21 million people denied the right to vote wouldn't effect the result. It's amazing how little people don't know when they choose to be stupid. In Our Best Interests

The Democratic convention platform in Charlotte left out any mention of Israel and God. The GOP bible-thumpers attacked the omission of their Almighty Deity and those farther to the right have been outraged without surprise, for as resistance.ning.com states; "For Democrats there is NO God because they believe in the merciless slaughter of America’s innocent, unborn children, the elderly, disabled and sick population as contained in the deadly ObamaCare law. They believe in the destruction of the family as ordained by God — marriage between one woman and one man — so-called same-sex marriage. They believe in enslaving the citizens of America to their communist agenda and if we don’t comply we are called “terrorists,” falsely arrested and detained without due process. They don’t believe in God even if they falsely claim they do, because they don’t do his will. Their ways are not the ways of God. God’s way is not man’s way; God works in His own way. The Democrats don’t seem to understand this. In essence, they are anti-God; anti-Christ; anti-Israel; anti-American." The bass grumblings of the Fundamentalist base of the GOP thundered across the country and the Democratic leadership caved under the multitude of demands for God's inclusion into the party platform. Last night they added that government should help people "make the most of their God-given potential". As a devout atheist I was disappointed by their cowardice in principles, especially on the separate issue of declaring that Jerusalem is the de facto capitol of Israel. This change was decided on a voice vote, but clearly less than two-thirds of the delegates were in favor of saying that, "Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel". The 'nos' ruled the vote and Antonio Villaraigosa, the Democratic convention chair, asked for the crowd to voice their opinions three times before favoring the ayes. Boos rang from the floor, for the President has suggested to the Israeli prime minister that the Zionist nation return to its pre-1967 borders to solve the long-standing conflict with the Palestinian people. The LA mayor was clearly taken aback by the rejection of Jerusalem as Israel's capitol, but he did as told and affirmed the vote and the fact that the USA will stand by its best friend and ally in the Mideast.
