Sir Grope-a-lot In Thailand

When I worked on 47th Street selling diamond we had several women working for our firm. Each one had to sign a waiver absolving us of sexual harassment. Not that we physically touch any of the women, but sometimes our conversation verged past the bounds of decency. If they told us to shut up, we did without an argument. Several other salesmen were not so circumspect with their help and we named them 'Sir Grope-A-Lot' and they seem to have emigrated to car conventions in Thailand.
Auto-show patrons are constantly on the hunt for their dream girl and sexy event girls sell muscle cars faster than an advertizing brochure, since sitting with a svelte bikinied beauty is a young man's fantasy which accompanies him into middle age and beyond. These event girl job pay well. Up to 50,000 baht a month for 10 days work, however few of the girls countered of having to deal with the Sir Grope-a-lots of the car show. These manually free men think that physical contact is an added perk of the show, thrusting the girls into compromising situations beyond their job description.
One presentater says an older man demanded she become his mistress. She refused, but was not punished by the carmaker, who are selling a dream of the open road and a short drive to a love motel. Another spokesperson said she has to be diplomatic in several languages, as men proposition her constantly at the show. I never talk to these girls. They are out of my league, plus I drive a second-hand Toyota Altis, which under the present economic climate I will not be trading in for a new car.
Life is cruel
