Thai Cops Crackdown on Copies
GW Bush, hero of anti-intellectualism, is coming to Bangkok on his Asian farewell tour and Thai police are cracking down on international copyright infringers throughout the country so the president of the USA doesn't see any phony Mickey Mouse watches. The police have assured that things will go right back to normal after GW flies to Beijing to attend the Summer Olympics.
Patpong and Pantip Plaza were raided by ever-vigilant police squads and counterfeit merchandise confiscated by the thousands of baht.
So if you're looking for copy goods for the next few days, be patience.
