Everyone in the world is scared of sharks.
One July 4th weekend Richie Boy and I were surfing off Montauk. The temperature was hot and the air was steamy with humidity. Richie Boy noticed that no one was in the water and spotted beachgoers pointing off-shore two hundred meters from the break. A school of bluefish were leaping into the air to escape a large predators.
Actually a couple of large predators.
Sharks to be exact.
Richie Boy and I paddled to the shore as fast as we could and called it a day.
We liked our feet attached to our bodies.
Above is a photo of the supposed collapse of a shark tank in Kuwait.
No wading allowed in the shopping wadi.
