Rusting Monster

Fifteen years ago a gravel company illegally quarried a mountain in the western forests of Thailand. A court ordered the owner to halt its operation. The Khon Yai refused to obey the legal judgment and re-doubled his destruction of the kartz peak. The local villagers blew up two of his trucks. The company closed within a week. That was ten years ago and the scar remains on the mountain, however the valley is no longer clouded with dust. A small victory for the small people. Photo is of the rusting rock grinder. A guard protects it from vandalism, but nature will not wait.
