Art is a nice name for a man

Last week was the last week for the Tom Sachs exhibition in the public space of the Lever Building on Park Avenue. For some reason I think I met him back in the 80s through my agent. I could be mistaken. I often am. I walked over to Park Avenue on a muggy day to view his big 'hello kitty' sculptures.

They are big.

People liked shooting photos of them

The statues are bigger than life.

I wandered through a few tourists' viewfinders and headed over to the Waldorf-Astoria. The AC was cool and the men's room clean. I then entered the small library at the subway stop and took out Steinbeck's CANNERY ROW.

It was all so arty.
