Catapult around the World

Thailand's first no-frills airline, One-Two-Go, has suspended all operations for two months for "financial restructuring," media reports said Saturday.

Oil prices are crippling flight operations around the world.

Last month Thai Air cancelled its direct-flight to JFK and other long-haulers re-evaluated their far East strategies, leaving passengers with less and less options.

Could the catapult be the solution?

Install giant rubber bands at the old Don Muang Airport and provide the catapultee with a parachute for a landing. Those not travelling light should be also warned to duck for their incoming baggage.

For shorter trips catapultees can set up their own catapults and landing nets, which could be bought from defunct golf ranges.

Boing and go.
